This delicacy is traditionally prepared in authentic handmade clay pots, whose production can be appreciated at the revitalized Galpão das Paneleiras de Goiabeiras, since its restoration in 2011. Camburi, with a 6 km stretch, is the only beach in the capital located on the mainland. Completely urbanized, this beach is known for its sea, considered one of the best places for sailing in Brazil, and it hosts various cultural activities promoted by the city government.

The congo bands, a local musical genre, are formed by men and women who follow the standard of São Benedito, playing a significant role in the region’s culture. The traditional instrument known as “casaca,” with indigenous origins, is also highly valued and often serves as the theme for souvenirs sold to visitors.
